Taffy-2005 Playday Mare

Description: 💥 Here’s one of those horses that doesn’t come around often. Taffy is a gentle as can be 15hh 18 year old registered quarter horse that has done just about everything a kid could want one to do. She’s patterned on all playday events, lopes around easy and slow, has got a great stop, rolls back, has been ropes off of, has been rode English a few times, gets both leads, goes just fine bareback, trail rides with groups or alone and even did a little mounted shooting in her younger years. But just because she’s happy as a clam slow loping the barrels all day doesn’t mean this old gal can’t grab a gear and lay a barrel or pole pattern down. Taffy has been a young girls main mount for the last few years but it’s time for her to go on and be someone else’s playday horse. She loads and trailers like a lady, stands still to be saddled and stands cross-tied for the farrier, loves a good bath, and minds her manners at races. This is a full transparency post. Taffy was diagnosed with kissing spine last September and had surgery last October. She has made a full recovery and it hasn’t seemed to bother her one bit since then. I do have the before and after X-rays and am happy to send them to those with serious inquiries. This mare has more whoa than go, so would be best for a beginner/intermediate rider wanting to learn barrels. She's got a lot to teach your kiddo.
